Overweight and obese pregnant women are at increased risk for multiple pregnancy related complications including a higher rate of birth defects, spontaneous abortion, gestational hypertension, preeclampsia, gestational diabetes, fetal macrosomia, cesarean delivery, shoulder dystocia, postpartum hemorrhage, wound infection and endometritis. While many complex factors are involved in obesity and weight gain in pregnancy, attitudes and perceptions regarding body weight may have a strong correlation to nutritional habits, activity level and subsequently, weight gain. The purpose of this research project is to identify perceptions of psychological factors that may have an effect on weight gain during pregnancy in obese women. 000000688 540__ $$fCC BY 000000688 542__ $$fIn copyright - single owner 000000688 650__ $$aResearch$$025336 000000688 650__ $$aAdvanced Practice Nursing$$038882 000000688 650__ $$aWeight Gain$$028406 000000688 650__ $$aNursing$$023082 000000688 650__ $$aPregnancy$$024523 000000688 650__ $$aPregnant Women$$034853 000000688 650__ $$aNurse Anesthetists$$023072 000000688 650__ $$aClinical Nursing Research$$028382 000000688 650__ $$aEvidence-Based Nursing$$038239 000000688 650__ $$aMidwifery$$022307 000000688 6531_ $$acase reports 000000688 6531_ $$aclinical inquiry report 000000688 6531_ $$anurse practioners 000000688 691__ $$aSchool of Nursing$$041370 000000688 7001_ $$aThompson, Clare J.$$uOregon Health and Science University$$041354 000000688 8564_ $$98e70e973-1a3b-4e9e-b6ae-a1064ae5ffa5$$s3673449$$uhttps://digitalcollections.ohsu.edu/record/688/files/689_etd.pdf 000000688 905__ $$a/rest/prod/q8/11/kj/63/q811kj631 000000688 909CO $$ooai:digitalcollections.ohsu.edu:688$$pstudent-work 000000688 980__ $$aTheses and Dissertations
