TY - GEN AB - The hemodialysis population have higher incidence and prevalence rates of peripheral arterial disease than those without chronic kidney disease. The increase burden of PAD in this population has prompted providers to seek early identification and treatment. This project seeks to explore the usability of a simplified foot screening tool in a hemodialysis unit of a large urban teaching hospital. The tool focuses on the collection of physical assessment findings, followed by risk stratifying the findings into an action plan. Overall goal of this project will be to assess whether nursing staff find the tool usable in practice and can implement the action plans identified.
