Although often benign, it can be maladaptive when excessive in frequency or occurring during inappropriate times. In the case of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), MW has been found to occur at high rates and is related to impairment and so may provide a new route to intervention or self-help. However, MW is a multi-faceted construct and it remains unclear which specific types of MW are related to functional impairment. It is therefore important to dissociate different aspects of MW in order to better understand the mechanisms underlying impairment and ultimately design more targeted interventions.}, number = {ETD}, doi = {https://doi.org/10.6083/rf55z8192}, recid = {7565}, address = {2019}, }
