Although often benign, it can be maladaptive when excessive in frequency or occurring during inappropriate times. In the case of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), MW has been found to occur at high rates and is related to impairment and so may provide a new route to intervention or self-help. However, MW is a multi-faceted construct and it remains unclear which specific types of MW are related to functional impairment. It is therefore important to dissociate different aspects of MW in order to better understand the mechanisms underlying impairment and ultimately design more targeted interventions. 000007565 542__ $$fIn copyright - single owner 000007565 650__ $$aAttention$$015203 000007565 650__ $$aAttention Deficit Disorder with Hyperactivity$$015204 000007565 6531_ $$aelectroencephalogram 000007565 6531_ $$aevent related potentials 000007565 691__ $$aSchool of Medicine$$041369 000007565 692__ $$aDepartment of Behavioral Neuroscience$$041394 000007565 7001_ $$aAlperin, Brittany 000007565 8564_ $$9113fbf87-c3d1-4775-91d4-557a2c1177d2$$s1492412$$uhttps://digitalcollections.ohsu.edu/record/7565/files/alperin.brittany.2019.pdf 000007565 905__ $$a/rest/prod/rf/55/z8/19/rf55z8192 000007565 909CO $$ooai:digitalcollections.ohsu.edu:7565$$pstudent-work 000007565 980__ $$aTheses and Dissertations
