This study examined whether a low-cost, single-session intervention at the “Let’s Get Healthy!” fair improved nutrition-related knowledge and behaviors in 4th–6th graders. Participants who completed a diet screener and read a nutrition handout were compared to those who did not. Questionnaires measured personal, environmental, and behavioral factors based on Social Cognitive Theory. Results assessed overall score changes, gender differences, and age associations. Findings will inform whether brief interventions can positively influence dietary behaviors in children. 000000770 540__ $$fCC BY 000000770 542__ $$fIn copyright - single owner 000000770 650__ $$aPsychology$$024837 000000770 650__ $$aHealth Fairs$$019884 000000770 650__ $$aChild Nutrition Sciences$$037299 000000770 650__ $$aHealth Promotion$$019900 000000770 650__ $$aCognition$$016868 000000770 650__ $$aBehavior$$015411 000000770 650__ $$aSex Factors$$025927 000000770 650__ $$aDiet, Healthy$$011889 000000770 650__ $$aNutritional Status$$023105 000000770 650__ $$aDiet, Food, and Nutrition$$011087 000000770 650__ $$aChild$$016462 000000770 6531_ $$asocial cognitive theory 000000770 691__ $$aSchool of Medicine$$041369 000000770 692__ $$aGraduate Programs in Human Nutrition$$041470 000000770 7001_ $$aSouthworth, Anne$$uOregon Health and Science University$$041354 000000770 8564_ $$9e7eae9ab-7250-47b7-b5b0-a012a546afef$$s1772243$$uhttps://digitalcollections.ohsu.edu/record/770/files/773_etd.pdf$$ePublic$$2a8c309cf56bb3927eca6bf9a7963cfaf$$31 000000770 905__ $$a/rest/prod/v9/79/v3/10/v979v310m 000000770 909CO $$ooai:digitalcollections.ohsu.edu:770$$pstudent-work 000000770 956__ $$aGet Accessible Copy$$uhttps://ohsu.libwizard.com/f/requestaccessibledocument 000000770 980__ $$aTheses and Dissertations
