National health authorities, including the CDC, ACOG, and ACIP, recommend influenza vaccination for all pregnant women during flu season. Despite these guidelines, only 51% of pregnant women in the U.S. received the vaccine during the 2009–2010 season. This study aims to assess whether physician specialty (OB/GYN vs. Family Medicine) and practice location influence routine recommendation (91–100% of the time) of influenza vaccination to healthy pregnant women. Additionally, it seeks to identify barriers to offering the vaccine, including provider beliefs, logistical challenges, cost, and integration into routine care. A cross-sectional survey was conducted among licensed Oregon physicians who provided prenatal care within the past 12 months. 000000771 540__ $$fCC BY 000000771 542__ $$fIn copyright - single owner 000000771 650__ $$aPhysician-Patient Relations$$024113 000000771 650__ $$aAttitude of Health Personnel$$015206 000000771 650__ $$aImmunization$$020673 000000771 650__ $$aCulture$$017241 000000771 650__ $$aPhysicians$$024116 000000771 650__ $$aPrenatal Care$$024566 000000771 650__ $$aInfluenza Vaccines$$020803 000000771 650__ $$aVaccination$$027691 000000771 650__ $$aPregnant Women$$034853 000000771 650__ $$aPregnancy$$024523 000000771 650__ $$aCross-Sectional Studies$$017206 000000771 650__ $$aPhysician-Patient Relations$$024113 000000771 651__ $$aOregon$$041094 000000771 691__ $$aSchool of Medicine$$041369 000000771 692__ $$aDepartment of Public Health and Preventive Medicine$$041444 000000771 7001_ $$aArao, Robert$$uOregon Health and Science University$$041354 000000771 7201_ $$aRosenberg, Kenneth$$uOregon Health and Science University$$041354$$7Personal$$eAdvisor$$eMentor 000000771 8564_ $$963a74d2c-c579-45b2-9f9c-ff7e67235b7a$$s741076$$uhttps://digitalcollections.ohsu.edu/record/771/files/774_etd.pdf$$ePublic$$2a32bc6866d5d26b331277b28699a4580$$31 000000771 905__ $$a/rest/prod/mp/48/sc/77/mp48sc77c 000000771 909CO $$ooai:digitalcollections.ohsu.edu:771$$pstudent-work 000000771 980__ $$aTheses and Dissertations
