Research on the neurobiological underpinnings that regulate (EtOH) intake and EtOH-seeking behaviors is essential for the development of treatments in the future. Previous literature has shown that the centrally-projecting Edinger Westphal nucleus (EWcp) is sensitive to EtOH, and may also regulate EtOH intake. The aim of this dissertation was to examine the role of the centrally-projecting Edinger-Westphal (EWcp) nucleus in EtOH-seeking behaviors. 000007714 542__ $$fIn copyright - single owner 000007714 650__ $$aNeurobiology$$022831 000007714 650__ $$aEthanol$$014406 000007714 650__ $$aAlcohol Drinking$$014403 000007714 650__ $$aEdinger-Westphal Nucleus$$040724 000007714 6531_ $$aalcohol use disorder 000007714 6531_ $$aurocortin 1 000007714 691__ $$aSchool of Medicine$$041369 000007714 7001_ $$aZuniga, Alfredo 000007714 8564_ $$979cfa2d5-d355-470f-9a4b-e9c61e8a8f8d$$s2084511$$uhttps://digitalcollections.ohsu.edu/record/7714/files/Zuniga.Alfredo.2019.pdf 000007714 905__ $$a/rest/prod/fj/23/62/63/fj236263w 000007714 909CO $$ooai:digitalcollections.ohsu.edu:7714$$pstudent-work 000007714 980__ $$aTheses and Dissertations
