We evaluated IFN-γ CD8+ T cell responses to five novel Mtb antigens in 108 TB-positive subjects from Uganda using ELISPOT. While categorical response thresholds showed no significant association with TB phenotype, quantitative analysis revealed significantly higher IFN-γ responses to four antigens in ATB versus LTBI (p ≤ 0.015). These findings suggest continuous CD8+ T cell IFN-γ responses correlate with bacillary burden and may inform TB diagnostics and vaccine development. 000000776 540__ $$fCC BY 000000776 542__ $$fIn copyright - single owner 000000776 650__ $$aInterferon-gamma Release Tests$$039576 000000776 650__ $$aMycobacterium tuberculosis$$022570 000000776 650__ $$aAntigens$$014884 000000776 650__ $$aCD8-Positive T-Lymphocytes$$030782 000000776 650__ $$aEpidemiology$$018518 000000776 650__ $$aVaccine Development$$013568 000000776 650__ $$aLatent Infection$$013466 000000776 650__ $$aAntigens, CD$$028586 000000776 651__ $$aUganda$$041164 000000776 691__ $$aSchool of Medicine$$041369 000000776 692__ $$aDepartment of Public Health and Preventive Medicine$$041444 000000776 7001_ $$aIles-Shih, Matthew$$uOregon Health and Science University$$041354 000000776 7201_ $$aNyendak, Melissa$$uOregon Health and Science University$$041354$$7Personal$$eMentor 000000776 8564_ $$955d5db3e-24a2-437b-b224-1da0d6904aac$$s3005000$$uhttps://digitalcollections.ohsu.edu/record/776/files/779_etd.pdf$$ePublic$$24d3eba287fb97a5fb5df903fde18be7e$$31 000000776 905__ $$a/rest/prod/qn/59/q4/07/qn59q4075 000000776 909CO $$ooai:digitalcollections.ohsu.edu:776$$pstudent-work 000000776 980__ $$aTheses and Dissertations
