This shift also requires efficient, system-wide use of technology. Harnessing the power of clinical and operational data contained within clinical information systems (CIS) offers companies many benefits. Unfortunately, CIS implementation projects in physical therapy have historically been expensive and poorly organized. This hinders organizations from effectively using these systems they spend so much to implement. Worse, with poor implementation and limited institutional control, these systems can simply contribute to provider burnout without any appreciable improvement in care quality. This research sought to understand the information needs of and organizational influences on managers as they utilize information systems to oversee the clinical quality efforts of their organizations. 000007910 542__ $$fIn copyright - single owner 000007910 650__ $$aOrganization and Administration$$023272 000007910 650__ $$aSociology$$026136 000007910 650__ $$aInformation Storage and Retrieval$$028998 000007910 650__ $$aInformation Systems$$020807 000007910 650__ $$aQuality of Health Care$$025031 000007910 650__ $$aPhysical Therapy Specialty$$033304 000007910 691__ $$aSchool of Medicine$$041369 000007910 692__ $$aDepartment of Medical Informatics and Clinical Epidemiology$$041422 000007910 7001_ $$aHoekstra, Christopher$$uOregon Health and Science University$$041354 000007910 8564_ $$9d48880bd-259c-4735-ab76-877e049a33ad$$s3516343$$uhttps://digitalcollections.ohsu.edu/record/7910/files/Hoekstra.Christopher.2020.pdf 000007910 905__ $$a/rest/prod/rb/68/xc/37/rb68xc37r 000007910 909CO $$ooai:digitalcollections.ohsu.edu:7910$$pstudent-work 000007910 980__ $$aBiomedical Informatics
