These inequities exist as developing nations and impoverished agricultural communities contribute the least to global climate change yet are facing the most severe consequences. Development agencies play an important role in helping affected communities address the consequences of climate change, yet the interventions often do not consider the specific needs of those they seek to help. Furthermore, some interventions and approaches can exacerbate climate change-related inequities by operating through ideological principles that miscalculate or do not address the sources of inequity. To address these issues, this research focuses on ways to promote justice and enhance community participation in development agency interventions. 000008087 650__ $$aClimate Change$$038917 000008087 650__ $$aSocial Justice$$026110 000008087 6531_ $$asocial power 000008087 6531_ $$aphysiological adaptation 000008087 691__ $$aSchool of Medicine$$041369 000008087 7001_ $$aBusby, Colin 000008087 8564_ $$9af962d69-2824-42ce-9227-4e677066d7c3$$s441799$$uhttps://digitalcollections.ohsu.edu/record/8087/files/Busby.Colin.2020.pdf 000008087 905__ $$a/rest/prod/t1/48/fh/72/t148fh720 000008087 909CO $$ooai:digitalcollections.ohsu.edu:8087$$pstudent-work 000008087 980__ $$aTheses and Dissertations
