TY - GEN N2 - Pelvic ring injuries in children at times require stabilization with percutaneous iliosacral (IS) screws. Iliac cortical density (ICD) is a critical fluoroscopic landmark in adults for safe placement of IS screws to avoid L5 neurovascular injury. It is unclear whether the classic ICD landmark is located similarly in the developing pelvis. The purpose of the study is to 1) evaluate if ICD is a useful fluoroscopic landmark in the pediatric population and 2) determine how ICD changes as the pelvis matures.
