TY - GEN N2 - Postpartum depression (PPD) can have significant consequences for mothers and infants. Mindfulness-based cognitive therapy (MBCT) during pregnancy is an effective preventative intervention for PPD. However, little is known regarding the efficacy and potential mechanisms of action of MBCT for women with a trauma history. In this pilot trial, we attempted to establish the feasibility and acceptability of conducting an intergenerational translational study of the neurobiological mechanisms of action of MBCT during pregnancy for women with trauma histories.
