  <abstract>The project begins with a literature review to establish best IT practices in VTE-P.  These recommendations are summarized in the 20 Commandments for VTE Prophylaxis.  In addition, we describe in detail the IT changes required to support quality improvement.  These changes include:  risk stratification changes, order sets, patient lists/reports, and alerts.</abstract>
