EAC is often diagnosed at a symptomatic stage, resulting in a five-year survival rate of less than 20%. Barrett’s esophagus (BE) – the condition where the normal squamous epithelium of the distal esophagus is replaced by columnar metaplasia – is recognized as the precursor lesion for EAC. This study aims to extend existing guidelines to include a population that is currently underrepresented in the evidence base, providing clinicians with a reliable, quantitative, evidence-based model for managing incidentally detected BE in young patients. 000000866 542__ $$fIn copyright - single owner 000000866 650__ $$aClinical Nursing Research$$028382 000000866 650__ $$aNurse Anesthetists$$023072 000000866 650__ $$aNurse Midwives$$023074 000000866 650__ $$aNurse Practitioners$$023075 000000866 650__ $$aNursing Research$$028381 000000866 650__ $$aCost-Effectiveness Analysis$$014041 000000866 650__ $$aChild$$016462 000000866 650__ $$aBarrett Esophagus$$015366 000000866 6531_ $$amarkov processes 000000866 691__ $$aSchool of Nursing$$041370 000000866 7001_ $$aBoardman, Charles$$uOregon Health and Science University$$041354 000000866 7201_ $$aMessecar, Deborah$$uOregon Health and Science University$$041354$$7Personal$$eCommittee chair 000000866 8564_ $$98478115a-57d4-4332-89b5-d795cbc13cd7$$s1001781$$uhttps://digitalcollections.ohsu.edu/record/866/files/869_etd.pdf$$ePublic$$22337c4986545591109a2bec61258cb61$$31 000000866 905__ $$a/rest/prod/5m/60/qr/93/5m60qr936 000000866 909CO $$ooai:digitalcollections.ohsu.edu:866$$pstudent-work 000000866 980__ $$aTheses and Dissertations
