This inexperience can increase patient safety risks, as novice nurses may miss early signs of deterioration and delay escalation of care. Expert nurses typically develop intuitive decision-making after years of practice, but their numbers are declining, creating a gap in bedside support. Early Warning Systems (EWS) offer standardized tools to identify worsening conditions and prompt timely intervention. This study explores the role of EWS in supporting novice nurses, improving decision-making, and reducing delays in care escalation in postpartum settings.
