Novel strategies to identify and intervene with at-risk-youth are needed. Standardized suicide prevention curriculum can create open discussions about mental health, peer support, and anti-bullying. Teaching youth about red flags of suicidal ideation and depression can provide resources for youth to use during times of crisis. By addressing adolescent suicide at the population level, seeking care for mental health support is normalized. Thus, school based programs have the potential to address the growing need for suicide prevention. 000009270 540__ $$fCC BY 000009270 542__ $$fIn copyright - single owner 000009270 650__ $$aSuicide$$026555 000009270 650__ $$aBullying$$039183 000009270 650__ $$aMental Health$$022046 000009270 6531_ $$aschool 000009270 6531_ $$aprevention and control 000009270 6531_ $$aadolescents 000009270 691__ $$aSchool of Medicine$$041369 000009270 692__ $$aDivision of Physician Assistant Education$$041465 000009270 7001_ $$aUlleseit, Timothy$$uOregon Health and Science University$$10000-0003-3614-7728$$041354 000009270 789__ $$whttps://doi.org/10.6083/rb68xc470$$2URL 000009270 8564_ $$9b00cc495-7905-4603-8c13-42ca250d7476$$s1459001$$uhttps://digitalcollections.ohsu.edu/record/9270/files/Ulleseit.Timothy.2021.poster.pdf 000009270 905__ $$a/rest/prod/2r/36/tz/26/2r36tz26s 000009270 909CO $$ooai:digitalcollections.ohsu.edu:9270$$pstudent-work 000009270 980__ $$aPhysician Assistant Program collection
