An imbalance in this intricate hemostatic interplay of platelets and coagulation enzymes will cause pathological thrombus formation and this may lead to cardiovascular diseases such as myocardial infarction, stroke, and venous thrombosis. The present research focuses on the role of platelets in providing a surface that support coagulation and function and how platelets activation states can be affected by interference of their signaling cascades by environmental and dietary components. 000009473 542__ $$fIn copyright - single owner 000009473 650__ $$aBlood Platelets$$015667 000009473 650__ $$aBlood Coagulation$$015652 000009473 650__ $$aBlood Cells$$015648 000009473 650__ $$aFactor XI$$018859 000009473 6531_ $$athc 000009473 6531_ $$aadamts13 000009473 691__ $$aSchool of Medicine$$041369 000009473 692__ $$aDepartment of Biomedical Engineering$$041397 000009473 7001_ $$aReitsma, Stephanie E. 000009473 8564_ $$92e828b57-dcf0-4c3d-af60-7876d1677a00$$s14617190$$uhttps://digitalcollections.ohsu.edu/record/9473/files/Reitsma.Stephanie.2022.pdf 000009473 905__ $$a/rest/prod/x0/59/c8/00/x059c8007 000009473 909CO $$ooai:digitalcollections.ohsu.edu:9473$$pstudent-work 000009473 980__ $$aTheses and Dissertations
