FMS-like tyrosine kinase (FLT3) is the most commonly mutated genes in AML, and leads to higher relapse rates. Several FLT3 inhibitors have been developed, including gilteritinib. Our lab developed a two-step model of early and late resistance to study the mechanism of resistance and relapse to FLT3 inhibitors. Early resistant AML cells are dependent upon the marrow microenvironment for survival. Over time, intrinsic resistance allows independent growth and results in late resistance, leading to disease relapse. 000009581 540__ $$fCC BY 000009581 542__ $$fIn copyright - joint owners 000009581 650__ $$aLeukemia, Myeloid, Acute$$028432 000009581 6531_ $$aFLT3 000009581 6531_ $$amicroenvironment 000009581 6531_ $$aresistance 000009581 6531_ $$akinase inhibitors 000009581 692__ $$aOHSU Knight Cancer Institute$$041488 000009581 7001_ $$aSharzehi, Setareh$$uOregon Health and Science University$$041354 000009581 7001_ $$aJoshi, Sunil$$uOregon Health and Science University$$041354 000009581 7001_ $$aPittsenbarger, Janet$$uOregon Health and Science University$$041354 000009581 7001_ $$aBottomly, Daniel$$uOregon Health and Science University$$041354 000009581 7001_ $$aMcWeeney, Shannon$$uOregon Health and Science University$$041354 000009581 7001_ $$aTyner, Jeffrey W.$$uOregon Health and Science University$$041354 000009581 7001_ $$aTraer, Elie$$uOregon Health and Science University$$041354 000009581 711__ $$aResearch Week$$uOregon Health and Science University$$d2022 000009581 8564_ $$933138e92-e7e4-4060-ad46-1151d9c71b36$$s190329$$uhttps://digitalcollections.ohsu.edu/record/9581/files/Sharzehi-Setareh-OHSU-ResearchWeek-2022.pdf 000009581 905__ $$a/rest/prod/80/49/g5/74/8049g5745 000009581 980__ $$aResearch Week
