The small molecule series, SR-33001, inhibits Herpes, Alpha, and Flavi viruses in vitro. The broad-spectrum activity of the compound indicates a host protein may be the target. It does not effect nucleic acid transcription, but does inhibit early and late protein translation in HCMV. A potential molecular target, HSPBeta1 (Hsp27), was identified by co-precipitation pulldown assay. 000009619 540__ $$fCC BY 000009619 6531_ $$amechanism 000009619 6531_ $$atarget 000009619 6531_ $$abroad-spectrum 000009619 6531_ $$ahcmv 000009619 6531_ $$aantiviral 000009619 6531_ $$ahsp27 000009619 691__ $$aSchool of Medicine$$041369 000009619 7001_ $$aPommert, Kathleen$$uOregon Health and Science University$$041354 000009619 7001_ $$aAlexander, Timothy$$uOregon Health and Science University$$041354 000009619 7001_ $$aHaese, Nicole$$uOregon Health and Science University$$041354 000009619 7201_ $$aStreblow, Daniel$$uOregon Health and Science University$$041354$$7Personal$$eMentor 000009619 8564_ $$99d9775d8-b32f-4815-9700-72ec7c0dc717$$s1212968$$uhttps://digitalcollections.ohsu.edu/record/9619/files/Pommert.Kathleen.CaptionWeek.2022.pdf 000009619 905__ $$a/rest/prod/8g/84/mm/88/8g84mm88k 000009619 909CO $$ooai:digitalcollections.ohsu.edu:9619$$pstudent-work 000009619 980__ $$aScholarly Project Capstones
