000009650 520__ $$aBehavioral Health Care Providers (BHPs) can assess their cultural and linguistic competence through the National CLAS Standards framework that was developed by the Office of Minority Health as a part of an initiative to improve health equity. This study aims to increase cultural humility, knowledge, and comfort in providing culturally sensitive care for clients with diverse cultural backgrounds by implementing the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services Improving Cultural Competency for Behavioral Health Professionals' online educational training for behavioral health providers. This study was conducted across three different behavioral health organizations, two community mental health clinics located in Oregon and one private practice located in Washington. Participants included psychiatric nurse practitioners, psychiatrists, psychologists, registered nurses, licensed social workers, QMHPs, QMHA's, and licensed mental health counselors (LMHC).
