Medication-assisted treatment (MAT) is an evidence-based treatment model for OUD, whose widespread adoption could lead to a decline in OUD-associated comorbidities, infectious diseases, and reduction of trauma, suicide, and overdose deaths. The 2016 Comprehensive Addiction and Recovery Act (CARA) took an assertive stance on the need to combat OUD and offered advanced practice registered nurses and physician assistants eligibility to prescribe medications for OUD. 000009670 542__ $$fIn copyright - single owner 000009670 650__ $$aBuprenorphine$$015903 000009670 650__ $$aOpioid-Related Disorders$$022689 000009670 650__ $$aSubstance Abuse Treatment Centers$$029062 000009670 650__ $$aNurse Practitioners$$023075 000009670 650__ $$aOpiate Substitution Treatment$$039371 000009670 650__ $$aElectronic Health Records$$038928 000009670 691__ $$aSchool of Nursing$$041370 000009670 7001_ $$aClothier, Mikael A.$$uOregon Health and Science University$$041354 000009670 8564_ $$91f0546ba-86d1-48be-a5c0-9beb89c67dfd$$s1272777$$uhttps://digitalcollections.ohsu.edu/record/9670/files/Clothier.Mikael.2022.pdf 000009670 905__ $$a/rest/prod/z0/29/p5/52/z029p552n 000009670 909CO $$ooai:digitalcollections.ohsu.edu:9670$$pstudent-work 000009670 980__ $$aTheses and Dissertations
