Its consequences on a woman's career, health, and well-being are deleterious and follow her throughout her lifespan. While the VA healthcare system has been diligent in its screening for MST and connection to care services for those affected by MST, trauma-informed care is a systems-wide approach and demands that the delivery of services also be rendered in a way that is sensitive to trauma. In 2020, a quality improvement study by Sierra Stuart, FNP sought to bring a training by Trauma-Informed Oregon to providers and staff at the Portland VA Women's Clinic to improve their interactions and care for patients with MST. This evaluative study aimed to assess the participation in that training and its impact on provider/support staff relationship and communication skills from the patient perspective. 000009685 542__ $$fIn copyright - single owner 000009685 650__ $$aWomen$$027986 000009685 650__ $$aMilitary Personnel$$022316 000009685 650__ $$aVeterans$$027802 000009685 650__ $$aUnited States Department of Veterans Affairs$$027579 000009685 650__ $$aSexual Trauma$$013295 000009685 650__ $$aDelivery of Health Care$$017452 000009685 6531_ $$atrauma-informed care 000009685 691__ $$aSchool of Nursing$$041370 000009685 7001_ $$aHillman, Gretchen$$uOregon Health and Science University$$041354 000009685 8564_ $$9f5d6dbc4-b7f9-4c05-aec3-fcd2dcbdeaae$$s1163723$$uhttps://digitalcollections.ohsu.edu/record/9685/files/Hillman.Gretchen.2022.pdf 000009685 905__ $$a/rest/prod/g4/45/cd/82/g445cd82q 000009685 909CO $$ooai:digitalcollections.ohsu.edu:9685$$pstudent-work 000009685 980__ $$aTheses and Dissertations
