Physical activity has been shown to decrease fatigue, depression, and anxiety amongst other side effects in cancer survivors. The HHS and the American Cancer Society have published guidelines to suggest the amount of weekly exercise necessary to elicit results and these sites, in addition to their medical providers, should be used as a resources to help guide patients throughout their exercise journey. Finally, exercise has been shown to be safe in cancer survivorship with limited adverse events occurring in patients during and after cancer treatment. It is important for medical providers to be aware of the exercise recommendations when treating patients with cancer and it is critical that exercise is discussed with patients before, during, and after cancer treatment. 000009792 542__ $$fIn copyright - single owner 000009792 650__ $$aProstatic Neoplasms$$024731 000009792 650__ $$aAnxiety$$014946 000009792 650__ $$aMental Health$$022046 000009792 650__ $$aExercise$$028419 000009792 650__ $$aDepression$$017614 000009792 650__ $$aNeoplasms$$022758 000009792 691__ $$aSchool of Medicine$$041369 000009792 692__ $$aDivision of Physician Assistant Education$$041465 000009792 7001_ $$aReed, Emily$$uOregon Health and Science University$$041354 000009792 789__ $$whttps://doi.org/10.6083/hh63sw74q$$2URL 000009792 8564_ $$96cb716e3-97c6-40df-bc12-5dd1e77ee094$$s418633$$uhttps://digitalcollections.ohsu.edu/record/9792/files/Reed.Emily.2022_paper.pdf 000009792 905__ $$a/rest/prod/7h/14/9q/68/7h149q68g 000009792 909CO $$ooai:digitalcollections.ohsu.edu:9792$$pstudent-work 000009792 980__ $$aPhysician Assistant Program collection
