Obese women, who are known to enter pregnancy with increased insulin resistance, have a two to three times increased odds ratio of developing GDM. Pregnant, obese women have an increased risk of preeclampsia, abnormal fetal growth, stillbirth, and cesarean birth. The purpose of this project is to describe the implementation of the IADPSG GDM screening criteria in the OHSU system and select obstetrical outcomes of pregnant women diagnosed with gestational diabetes by the IADPSG criteria while enrolled for nurse-midwifery care at OHSU between June 1, 2012 and February 28, 2013. 000000986 540__ $$fCC BY 000000986 542__ $$fIn copyright - single owner 000000986 650__ $$aDiagnostic Services$$017702 000000986 650__ $$aHospitals$$020336 000000986 650__ $$aNurse Midwives$$023074 000000986 650__ $$aDiagnosis$$017684 000000986 650__ $$aDiabetes, Gestational$$029281 000000986 650__ $$aObstetrics and Gynecology Department, Hospital$$023127 000000986 6531_ $$amaternity services 000000986 691__ $$aSchool of Nursing$$041370 000000986 7001_ $$aHersh, Sally$$uOregon Health and Science University$$041354 000000986 8564_ $$99c8e5b2e-1714-4dad-a6c1-87e828794ace$$s962817$$uhttps://digitalcollections.ohsu.edu/record/986/files/989_etd.pdf 000000986 905__ $$a/rest/prod/t4/35/gd/00/t435gd000 000000986 909CO $$ooai:digitalcollections.ohsu.edu:986$$pstudent-work 000000986 980__ $$aTheses and Dissertations
