Conclusion: For all VFR materials, staining and cleaning does not change contrast ratio, gloss, and surface roughness in a clinically significant manner. Turmeric is a powerful staining agent, and [Delta]E*00 for PE > PP > PU when stained. Invisalign Cleaning Crystals, Polident, and Retainer Brite do not differ significantly in effectiveness of stain-removal except for turmeric in certain cases, where Invisalign Cleaning Crystals were most effective. 000009972 650__ $$aColoring Agents$$018123 000009972 6531_ $$aremovable orthodontic appliances 000009972 6531_ $$aturmeric 000009972 691__ $$aSchool of Dentistry$$041368 000009972 692__ $$aDepartment of Orthodontics$$041435 000009972 7001_ $$aTsai, Matthew 000009972 7201_ $$aFerracane, Jack$$uOregon Health and Science University$$041354$$eMentor$$7Personal$$00000-0002-6511-5488 000009972 8564_ $$9a124f79a-b832-4b06-b93c-11f2bfdf58dc$$s1560309$$uhttps://digitalcollections.ohsu.edu/record/9972/files/Tsai.Matthew.2022.pdf 000009972 905__ $$a/rest/prod/rv/04/2t/80/rv042t808 000009972 909CO $$ooai:digitalcollections.ohsu.edu:9972$$pstudent-work 000009972 980__ $$aTheses and Dissertations
