Abstract
        Sudden cardiac death secondary to dysrhythmia is a potentially  preventable cause of death with proper utilization of an implantable cardioverter-defibrillator (ICD). Published guidelines offer eligibility criteria for device implantation yet compliance  varies widely across the nation. Adherence to the guidelines has the potential to affect billing and reimbursement as well as  patient outcomes. The hypothesis of this  project is that PSVMC will fall in the upper quartile of the national average.
