Abstract

Previous research has shown that patient appearance can influence medical decision-making. This study examined whether facial attractiveness affects orthodontic treatment outcomes. We also explored associations between pre-treatment attractiveness and post-treatment attractiveness, as well as patient age, gender, case complexity (perceived and measured), compliance, oral hygiene, orthodontist satisfaction, and treatment duration.
