Abstract

Bonding and removing orthodontic brackets can damage the surface of porcelain dental restorations. Refinishing the porcelain after orthodontic treatment is important for maintaining aesthetics, preserving structural integrity, and reducing plaque accumulation. This study compared the extent of porcelain surface damage after debonding using two different bracket bonding methods. It also evaluated whether a porcelain refinishing procedure could restore the surface to its original condition.
