Abstract

Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) are traumatic events in childhood that have been shown to have a negative effect on health outcomes. Over half of all adults in the United States have been exposed to at least one ACE, and early identification is key to improving overall health. This quality improvement project aimed to implement a universal ACEs screening in a pediatric primary care setting in a rural Federally Qualified Health Center.
