Abstract

Chronic insomnia, which is predictive of suicide depression, anxiety, substance use and the development of PTSD following exposure to trauma, often goes untreated or is treated ineffectively (Baglioni et al., 2011; Bernert & Nadorff, 2015; Woznica et al., 2015). Insomnia worsens comorbidities, increases functional impairment, and decreases quality of life (Bernert et al., 2015; Bollu & Kaur, 2019; Krystal et al., 2019).
