Abstract

This study investigated the knowledge and understanding of deprescribing methods within prescribing resident physicians who work with a care center population in rural Oregon. In the investigative phase the goal was to identify prescribing providers at the care center, provide them with a pre-survey and then do a chart review of their patients in order to identify residents who are being prescribed greater than 5 medications in addition to other factors. This information was presented to the primary care provider then they were administered a post-survey.
