Abstract

Is the primate CNS sexually differentiated with respect to the control of gonadotropin secretion or, as some investigators have suggested, is the primate brain pluripotential in this regard? To further explore this problem, we have evaluated the gonadotropin control system in a group of adult, gonadectomized, genetic female rhesus monkeys which were androgenized in utero by long term treatment with testosterone propionate.
