Abstract

Hospitals, medical schools, journals, government agencies and others are posting clinical information on the World Wide Web, most commonly in the form of guidelines, general articles and reviews, rather than the original research. Although the exact number of clinical World Wide Websites is unknown they are becoming an increasingly used method for dissemination of medical information. The purpose of this project is to identify search strategies for retrieving high quality review studies about etiology, prognosis, therapy, and diagnosis from the World Wide Web medical documents.
