This study compared characteristics and dental treatments of children receiving care under general anesthesia at OHSU Hospital during 1980–1982 and 1990–1992. A total of 270 records were reviewed for demographic, health, and treatment variables. While no significant differences were found in ethnicity or payment methods, health status differed between groups. Changes in types of procedures were observed, though the number of teeth restored remained consistent. Significant increases in patient age and annual case numbers were noted, likely reflecting evolving patient management approaches and clinical practices over time.
