Overweight and obesity are prevalent among women, yet some physically active individuals struggle to lose weight despite regular exercise. This study examined the eating habits and nutrition beliefs of female endurance walkers. Survey and focus group data revealed that participants maintained generally healthy diets and held accurate beliefs about exercise and weight loss. However, caloric intake remained too high for weight reduction. Findings suggest that while nutrition knowledge aligns with behavior, targeted education on portion control and energy balance may improve weight loss outcomes in this population.
