Abstract

In recent years, hospitals and healthcare facilities have been implementing clinical information systems as a means to streamline processes and reduce costs. Evaluation of these implementations often focuses on the technical aspects and tends to overlook the social and organizational issues, which can play an equally important role. By studying social and organizational issues of the end users in their local environment important issues can be discovered to help improve the systems overall acceptance and usability.
