Abstract

This randomized controlled feasibility study evaluated a team-based, peer-led curriculum promoting nutrient-rich diets and physical activity during pregnancy to reduce gestational diabetes risk. Among 28 participants, the study examined differences in gestational weight gain, nutrient intake, and fruit and vegetable consumption between intervention and control groups, as well as associations with adherence to 2009 IOM weight gain guidelines.
