Abstract

This dissertation focuses on the development of metrological techniques to study the mechanisms of thrombosis and hemostasis, processes essential for stopping bleeding but also implicated in pathological clot formation. Given the limitations of conventional microscopy in quantitatively assessing biological structures, this work emphasizes the need for accurate, reproducible measurement systems to monitor platelet function, coagulation, and the efficacy of antithrombotic therapies.
