Abstract
Exercise is essential for healthy living and provides numerous benefits across medical fields, including cardiology and psychology. The World Health Organization (WHO) states that insufficient physical activity is one of the leading global risk factors for mortality, recommending at least 150 minutes of moderate-intensity activity each week for adults. Healthy People 2020 aims to increase the percentage of people meeting this 150-minute guideline and to reduce the number of adults engaging in no leisure-time physical activity. By promoting higher activity levels, we hope to slow or even reverse these concerning trends.
