Maternal self-efficacy (MSE) plays an important role during the transition to motherhood since it can affect both maternal and infant health outcomes. However, research on MSE has primarily focused on Western cultures, creating a gap in our understanding of its dynamics in non-Western contexts. The purpose of this dissertation study was to examine MSE and associated factors in Thai mothers at six weeks postpartum using a culturally sensitive, task-specific MSE measure.
