Dr. Hector Olvera Alvarez is a Professor and Senior Associate Dean for Research in the OHSU School of Nursing. In this oral history, Gregory Bratman interviews Dr. Olvera Alvarez about his childhood in Mexico, his educational background in civil engineering and theology, and his research into the connection between stress, environment, economic status, and the effects these have on a patient’s health across their life span.
