Abstract

Adolescent anxiety is a global problem with a prevalence that increased almost 50% during the COVID-19 pandemic and is the most diagnosed mental health condition. Studies have identified a significant association between anxiety and maladaptive social media use. This quality improvement project implemented a standardized screening tool to identify maladaptive social media use risk stratification in children and adolescents 11 to 17 while maintaining provider satisfaction with screening methods.
