Abstract

Primary care providers frequently encounter patients with musculoskeletal conditions, yet referrals to physical therapy often result in prolonged wait times and limited availability, leading to poor patient compliance (McKay et al., 2021). This quality improvement project aimed to optimize physical therapy services within an internal medicine clinic by integrating a physical therapist into scheduled hours twice a week. The objectives were to identify areas for improvement in the delivery of physical therapy services, enhance patient care experiences, and foster interdisciplinary collaboration among healthcare providers.
