Abstract
Migration can significantly affect health and well‑being, yet little is known about how relocation impacts Native Hawaiians. Native Hawaiians are migrating to Las Vegas in increasing numbers, but their health experiences remain understudied. This qualitative descriptive study explored how Native Hawaiians perceive their health and well‑being and any changes since migrating from Hawaii to Las Vegas. Semi‑structured interviews were conducted with 27 participants. Interviews were transcribed and analyzed using systematic coding to identify themes and categories. Findings provide insight into Native Hawaiian migrants’ health perceptions and can inform culturally competent nursing care and health interventions.
