Abstract
Two primary research questions guide the specific aims of the three manuscripts in this dissertation. They are as follows:
1. What are the pain, depressive, anxiety, and function-related outcomes among females and older adults with chronic, non-cancer pain, who use cannabis, prescription opioids, or other drugs indicated for chronic, non-cancer pain symptoms over time?
2. How are healthcare providers in the U.S. adapting clinical recommendations and prescriptive practices in response to adult patient use of cannabis for chronic, non-cancer pain symptoms?
