Abstract

This Dissertation includes 5 chapters comprising an introduction to the field of nature-based interventions including Shinrin Yoku and the impacts of these interventions on clinical health outcomes individuals, as well as a published Scoping Review, a published Protocol Paper of a Simulated Forest Immersion Therapy intervention, an interventional study assessing the feasibility and impact of a Simulated Forest Immersion Therapy on pain and anxiety in adult persons with Spondyloarthritic conditions, and an overall discussion and assessment of the work of this Dissertation including theoretical underpinnings, future directions for research, and the feasibility of integrating nature-based interventions into nursing science.
