Abstract
In the medical field the two fundamental needs of man are prevention and cure. Cure he will demand for himself because pain or disability urges the need. Prevention is another matter for its rewards are remote., Pain and damage being a remote menace, the courage of indolence drives him down the easy way. '!his is a common human trait -- to be deplored, but to be recognized and dealt with as such in this world of things as they are.
