Abstract

Novel anti-CB1 monoclonal antibodies, including an N-terminal binding antibody, were characterized and validated. These antibodies were then used to investigate the role of the CB1 N-terminus in subcellular localization. Finally, the ability of one antibody was assessed for immunoaffinity purification. In this thesis, I detail the characterization and validation of several novel monoclonal anti-CB1 antibodies as well as several applications of these antibodies.
