Folding drug kit in a dark brown leather case, measuring 18.5 x 9 x 4 cm. The case has two rows of twelve slots each, with metal clips to secure glass vials. This kit holds 24 vials, seven with cork stoppers and 17 with metal caps. Each vial does bear a paper identification label. Seven vials are empty. Substances still included in this kit are marked: bismuth beta-naphtol, bismuth subnitrate and ipecac, aphrodisiac, antiseptic no. 6, cathartic active, aconite tincture, fever (Davis), viburnum comp., aconite and merc. iodide, quinine sulphate, pepsin and capsicun, morphia-sulphate, nitroglycerin comp., ergotin (Bonjeans), and croup no. 2. The case and vials are generally in good condition. The kit was donated by J.G. Bartlett, M.D., in May 1909.
