Description

A cupping set in a wooden case, measuring 20 x 19 x 10.5 cm. The red velvet-lined case is divided into eight compartments, which hold: 1) two brass scarifiers, one with twelve blades and one with eleven blades, 2) three handblown glass cupping jars, two measuring 5 cm in diameter and one 3 cm in diameter, 3) two handblown glass cupping jars with stopcocks, in diameters of 5 and 4 cm, 4) a stopcock and a brass connector piece, and 5) a small measure weight, marked with a 2. The set was donated by Mrs. Fred Gullette. The instruments are in generally good condition. The bottom of the case is cracked, the lining is badly faded, and the key is missing. The set seems to be lacking a suction pump and an additional cupping jar.
